English 2010 (Intermediate Writing)  This course was a challenging one. I have never been a great writer. Intermediate writing was able to make me tackle the issues that I have had in the past with writing. I was glad we were able to pick our own topic for all types of genres we were to choose from. I love the game of golf. I wanted to go in that direction and to write about something I'm passionate about. I have noticed that it is hard for women to get excited about golf. In the three genres I have chosen; I will explore the reasoning I have thought and researched about and write about women in the game of golf. Women have some challenges in golf whether it comes from sexism or even the way golf is marketed towards women. One of the biggest challenges I encountered this semester in this writing class was that there were different genres of writing. I was a little confused with the difference between a report and a position argument. I was able to go on the class Wiki page and find out others were having the same issue, but one was able to get me on the right path. I chose to put the informational report in addition to the position argument so others are able to see the differences. I also included the PSA that my group worked on about adopting animals in public shelters. I have grown in my writing experience throughout this year because I was able to think about the assignments more and had a better brainstorming plan. Writing whether we like it or not is never going to go away and we are to use this in our everyday life. |

UMMM Wow! love your paper, amazing point and thoughts, All I kept think was Heck Yes! what about us women? funny thing is I don't even play golf, but your paper made me want to because of how they lean toward men.
